I would like to give some feedback on the new management at the Trump restaurants which has now been taken over by Damac. They have renovated and been closed for a couple of weeks. We have lived in the community for 2 years and always eat there and loved the place. My husband has a golf membership there too for the past 5 years. The place was completely empty on a Saturday which we felt was strange. The menu is literally 3 dishes, no roast dinners anymore, everything is pizza or pasta. 105 dhs for a salad. We ordered a kids burger for 60dhs and expected it to be the same as before. When the burger came it had some weird pesto mayonnaise which my kid wouldn’t eat. I asked nicely if they could remove that as that’s not a standard burger for a kid. The manager called Ayan who is new, came over and spoke over us telling us it was our fault we didn’t read the menu, he was so rude he wouldn’t let us speak. He then said the burger has been the same as before. Which we pointed out we knew that was not correct having eaten there so many times in the last 5 years, We asked if they could change it which was a huge problem for them and they ended up charging us twice. When we questioned it we were greeted with the same manager who was very direct and rude it was our fault we need to pay twice. He wouldn’t let my husband explain that wasn’t a kids burger, just kept talking over him. The staff there are so lovely and they were so apologetic as they know us for many years, however this guy has completely ruined the restaurant in my opinion. This was a reputable place where most Damac residents visit, we are so disappointed and angry this was how we were treated today and this what our local has turned into.
