I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding our recent experience with your company. My complaint pertains to a property we purchased through Ellington, which we were compelled to sell at a price lower than the initial purchase price due to financial constraints. Unfortunately, your handling of this situation has been highly unprofessional and raises serious legal and ethical concerns. 1. Unjustified Delays in NOC: Despite our repeated requests, Ellington withheld the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for over 2 months, obstructing our ability to sell the property. 2. Misleading & Manipulative Practices: We were later informed that Ellington does not issue NOCs, contradicting earlier communications. Instead, we were told that Ellington would purchase the property from us. 3. Unlawful Cancellation of Ownership: Despite not having received any payment from your side, our ownership was unilaterally cancelled in the Dubai Land Department (DLD) without our consent or prior notification. 4. Lack of Transparency & Financial Uncertainty: As of today, we have neither the property nor confirmation of when or if we will receive the agreed payment. This has placed us in an unacceptable and distressing financial situation. I am deeply concerned about how such actions are permitted in Dubai, a city known for its robust legal and regulatory frameworks. Your handling of this matter raises questions about consumer protection and fair business practices. Resolution Requested: • Immediate clarification regarding the status of our payment and a definitive timeline for its release. • An official explanation for the cancellation of our ownership without our consent. • A formal acknowledgment of Ellington’s obligations in this transaction, along with corrective actions to ensure this does not happen to other buyers. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate this complaint to the Dubai Land Department (DLD), the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), and other relevant authorities to seek legal recourse.
