About the project and area
Developer Aldar Properties has launched ‘The Cedars’ in its Yas Acres golf and waterfront development in Abu Dhabi. According to a statement from the firm, the project ‘embraces nature’ and is part of its plan to form distinctive communities within the Yas Acres' scheme.
Once constructed, the new community will provide 1,315 townhouses and villas to the northern shores of Yas Island. The commencement of construction is said to already be underway, with the delivery of the first 652 homes scheduled for 2019.
Speaking about the project, Aldar states that residents will be able to take advantage of landscaped parks, running and cycling pathways, shade ways, indoor and outdoor gyms, and community pool areas in addition to playgrounds, swimming pools, sports facilities and BBQ areas situated in each villa cluster.
The development will also have a Golf and Country Club, and the developer states that a waterfront apartment district with restaurants, cafes and shops is set to be included in the future. The scheme will also have two school plots, both of which are said to have already been purchased by a local investment firm.
The community is in close proximity to two international schools, perfect for young families. It will also boast a cycling and jogging track, beautifully landscaped parks great for picnics, barbecues, and alfresco yoga, as well as retail and community centers full of cafes, eateries, and shops. Essential to any community, mosques are strategically located along the streets.
