False Promises and Lack of Sustainability: A Disappointing Experience at Sharjah Sustainable City I recently had the unfortunate experience of living in Sharjah Sustainable City, and I must say that there is nothing sustainable about this so-called "eco-friendly" community. My expectations were shattered, and I feel compelled to share my grievances to warn others about the misleading nature of this development. First and foremost, let's address the issue of the gym. When we were considering moving to Sharjah Sustainable City, the management went out of their way to showcase the gym as one of the highlights of the community. However, to our dismay, the gym has never been open since we moved in. When we approached the management to inquire about its availability, they conveniently blamed the delay on SEWA, alleging that the permit had not been granted. However, upon contacting SEWA directly, we discovered that this was nothing more than a blatant lie fabricated by the management. It is unacceptable to mislead residents with false excuses and fail to deliver on promised amenities. Another broken promise relates to the solar panels that were touted as a key feature of sustainability in this development. The idea of using solar energy to reduce our carbon footprint and lower electricity bills was enticing. However, it quickly became evident that the solar panels were nowhere to be found. As a result, residents are left to endure exorbitant monthly bills due to the extreme dust and heat in this region. It is ironic that a city claiming to be sustainable fails to implement basic energy-saving measures while burdening its residents with soaring utility costs. To add insult to injury, Sharjah Sustainable City inexplicably managed to prioritize a car wash facility over the long-awaited gym. It is baffling that they would invest in a non-essential service that contributes nothing to sustainability, while neglecting a facility that could have promoted the health and well-being of its residents. This decision epitomizes the lack of foresight and misplaced priorities exhibited by the management. In light of these blatant lies and deceitful practices, I strongly advise anyone considering buying or renting a property in Sharjah Sustainable City to exercise extreme caution. The management's dishonesty and disregard for residents' needs are apparent, and I regret having trusted their promises of sustainability and a high-quality living experience. In conclusion, Sharjah Sustainable City has proven to be a far cry from its advertised ideals. The absence of a functional gym, the failure to implement solar panels, and the misguided priorities exemplify a community that falls woefully short of its sustainable claims. Do not be deceived by the glossy brochures and empty promises; this place is a breeding ground for disappointment, dishonesty, and broken dreams.

Have booked a property in Phase 2. The promised date of handover was June 2023. There is no communication from the Sales agent (Nader Maher from Amlak Real Estate) or the Operations team about the developement yet. They dont respond with any information. Even the CEO's newsletter talks about great development in the community but no communication on the status of phase 2 delivery.

I must say that there is nothing sustainable about this so-called "eco-friendly" community. It is with great disappointment that I express my dissatisfaction and frustration with the false promises and misleading information provided by the management. One of the major selling points of this city was the presence of a fully equipped gym. However, this turned out to be nothing more than a mirage. The management made sure to show it off as a bonus to entice potential residents, but to my dismay, the gym has remained closed. Over the past three months, whenever we inquired about its unavailability, we were consistently given the excuse that the necessary permits from SEWA (Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority) were still pending. This shows a complete lack of transparency and organizational inefficiency on the part of the management. Furthermore, the absence of the promised solar panels is another glaring example of the city's failure to deliver on its sustainability claims. Sharjah Sustainable City is located in an extremely dusty and hot area, making it even more imperative to have solar panels for energy efficiency. Regrettably, these panels are nowhere to be seen, leaving residents to bear the brunt of exorbitant monthly bills. In addition to these major disappointments, there are several other areas where the city falls short in terms of sustainability. I strongly advise anyone considering a residence in Sharjah Sustainable City to think twice and thoroughly research the claims made by the management. It is evident that the reality falls far short of the sustainable utopia they portray. Save yourself the disappointment, inconvenience, and financial burden by exploring alternative options that genuinely prioritize sustainability and deliver on their promises.
