Parking is a NIGHTMARE! There’s lack of a system to protect a a residents parking space if you are unlucky to get a spot in the back of the community. Random people seem to park their cars everyday in your spot and it can get extremely frustrating for the people who have their spots here. What’s even more frustrating is that management only seems to protect the space of those who have a parking on the ground floor (inside the barricade/under the community/or in the basement. If you request for a space, I’m told it’s near impossible even though there are tons of empty closed off slots in the preferred covered parking areas. Deyaar / Midtown CM, if you ever read this, PLEASE sort the parking scene out for those of us you decided to leave outside the covered / barricades areas! This is probably the worst part of the experience whilst living here. Other than the parking issue, this is an amazing bustling residential community right off Sheikh Mhd. Bin Zayed! Pros: - The First floor of the community opens up into this unbelievable green paradise that has an mini thriving ecosystem of plants and birds (a massive recreational area for all members of the community.) - Two swimming pools spaced out well and with tons of seating and leisure space. - A tennis court and a Basketball court! (How many communities do you know of that has a tennis court and a BB court open to members for free and at the cost of renting or owning an apartment here) - a really well laid out kids play area with tons of well thought and landscaped children activities. - an open air amphitheater area (I’m told they play movies for kids on Saturdays with beanbags laid around but I’ve never seen that happen. However the community hosts tons of activists in the spot for kids and grown ups alike like water feats and yoga day. - A long walking track with kinetic energy based gym equipment lined up along it for easy going health enthusiasts. - Tons of seating along the walking path for either elderly to sit and rest or others to catch up with their friends. - Did I mention, tons of plans and trees reminiscence to a mini park ? (I don’t know how they maintain it so well but they do) - There are 2 gyms in the community which can get quite full coz this is after all a mixed nationality community with tons of health freaks. The equipment in the gym is decent in number and good quality. Good stuff! Well maintained facilities and clean common areas. Cons: - PARKING is PATHETIC for the residents who have the misfortune of getting a parking slot in barricaded section of the parking lot at the back. 🤦🏻♂️ - Air-conditioning: Empower is used to cool your unit so be ready for the big bills especially during summer without the cooling that dewa powered aircon units get 🙁 - The procedures to rent an apartment here are numerous and you have to go through Deyaar for everything. They have so many departments and each department brushes off their responsibility if you have a problem and throws it on to another department until You reach a dead end. If you need help with any queries, I suggest you head to the customer center at Midtown and ask for Mr. Praise. Deyaar did a fantastic thing by putting him at the front desk and he seems to be one of the only people who can help you sort out any issues that you might have. 🙌 - Insects: There are tons of insects but well it can’t be helped coz of the amount of greenery around. That’s a price you pay for such relaxed living. Best you can do is keep your doors closed, apartment clean and bring in a pest control team every few months. Nevertheless there will always be a cockroach and ant problem no matter how many times you call in the pest control.
