Marsa Al Arab is a luxurious tourist destination envisioned for the Dubai coastline, situated on both sides of the Burj Al Arab Hotel. This project, developed by Dubai Holding and the Jumeirah Group, was a part of the government's 2020 vision to attract 20 million visitors to Dubai. The two islands combined measure four million square feet and will contribute 2.2 kilometres of beachfront to the coastline. The first island will be an exclusive luxury resort, and the second will be dedicated to entertainment and family tourism.

Umm Suqeim is an older established area, while Barsha Heights is a bustling residential and commercial district with apartment blocks and hotels. It’s a beautiful place and refreshing from the constant buildings you see. Lots of options for local attire and different prices so make sure to bargain! In terms of food, there’s a good variety and different prices so walk around and see what suits you best. We went on a weekday in the evening so it wasn’t crowded and easily found taxis. Also, it’s a beautiful area to take photos!

I’ve always loved exploring historical places and capturing their beauty through photography. Al Seef truly impressed me with its stunning architecture and the way it beautifully reflects the rich history of the Arab people. I had the chance to visit Souq Al Seef and it was a truly memorable experience. Walking through the souq feels like stepping back in time, with the traditional wind towers, wooden doors, and stone pathways—but at the same time, you’ll find modern boutiques, cozy cafes, and restaurants with stunning views of Dubai Creek. It’s a great spot for a relaxed day out, whether you’re shopping for unique souvenirs, enjoying a meal, or just taking in the scenery. The vibe is peaceful, family-friendly, and full of culture. I especially loved how the heritage is preserved while still offering modern comforts. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dubai—it’s definitely worth a stop!

This area of Dubai was much more interesting and fun than the rest of Dubai in my opinion. I generally do not seek areas that look like America or modernized portions of Asia. And the markets and shops here were much more engaging and genuine in my opinion.
