I had an amazing stay at Mama Shelter! I honestly felt like I was at home — the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. A special thanks to Amr, the Duty Manager, for his great help and support in so many things, including helping me organize my friend’s birthday — it meant a lot! 💫 And a heartfelt thank you to Denyz, whose kindness and friendly attitude truly made me love this hotel even more. He made me feel the real “home away from home” experience. Highly recommended! ❤️🏠

I booked a 2-night stay at Mama Shelter Dubai but ended up checking out earlier. The hotel looks nice and modern, but a few things didn’t meet my expectations. The location isn’t very convenient, it’s a bit tricky to get in and out, and not really close to much. It’s listed as a 5-star hotel, but honestly, I’d rate it closer to 3 stars based on my experience. The room was much smaller than it appeared in the photos. I asked if I could move to a bigger one, but they said I’d need to upgrade and pay extra. I knew the size when I booked, but I didn’t realize how tight it would actually be once we set up the baby bed, there was barely any space left to move around. I also had issues with the AC all night because of the preset temperature, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. On the bright side, the hotel is new, clean, and quiet, which I appreciated. The valet staff were really friendly, fast, and helpful so definitely the highlight of my stay.

Mama doesn't love me. Sadly I had a very poor experience at Mama in Dubai. Despite claiming to be a five star hotel, the staff didn't help to unload or load my luggages into the van (I had to do it myself while they played with their mobile phone). The rooms are extremely small for Dubai and are not functional. Ie the shower leaks water and makes it super slippery due to the way the door doesn't close properly (design fault). There is no where to open your luggage (the room is tiny and doesn't have any luggage racks/space. We had to open our luggages on our bed. As a platinum Accor member I was told because the hotel is owned by two seperate hotel companies they don't offer welcome drinks vouchers to use in the hotels bars and they don't have an executive lounge. The business centre is located in the small lobby with no privacy. I honestly don't know where the five star service comes from? I tried to room charge a pizza in the lobby restaurant to my room and it was denied as apparently reception didn't take an authorisation? The platinum welcome gift was one apple and one apple juice. Mama clearly doesn't love her children as there was two of us in one room but you expect us to share one apple and a juice together? It's really laughable at how you value loyalty. The welcome gift I had to ask for three times and had taken hours to arrive despite the check in staff saying I would find it in my room. The amazing part of the hotel was the pool area. I was so sad to find out there was no sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. Again how are you a five star hotel? Also, I was the only person in the pool area during the day and the only movie playing on the outdoor cinema was a children's cartoon. It's so sad that I couldn't watch an adult movie as there was no kids in the two days I was at the hotel. The lovely staff was the host in the french restaurant, the pool bar staff and the spa lady. Mama Shelter Dubai is an over-hyped, over-marketed Ibis.

We stayed at Mama Shelter for one night to celebrate my husband's birthday, and everything was beautifully arranged. From the moment we arrived, the service, the welcoming atmosphere, and the creative artwork all around made the experience special. Yes, there was a bit of construction noise, but honestly, I barely noticed it. My husband was a little more sensitive to it, but it didn’t ruin our stay. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mohamed, the waiter, who was so kind and even helped me take some Instagram-worthy pictures — really appreciated that! Thank you for the great experience. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place in August 2025, and honestly… wow, it was absolutely magical from start to finish! From the moment I arrived, I was charmed by the beautiful and unique decor — so refreshing to see something different from the usual. It instantly made me feel welcome and relaxed. As for the food, I chose the half-board option without expecting much, but I was blown away! Breakfast was a real treat: so many choices to suit every taste. Special shoutout to the pastries — they tasted just like the ones in France, which is amazing! I also loved the mozzarella sticks, the hot chocolate and the option to make your own detox juices. Dinner was just as impressive: even after a full week, there were still plenty of dishes to try, and everything I tasted was absolutely delicious. The playlist on the pool and the restaurant is 💯💯 I was 🤯 I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but this one is truly deserved — especially to express my gratitude to the staff. I didn’t manage to catch everyone’s name, but a huge thank you to the cleaning teams, kitchen staff, servers, lifeguards, and receptionists. You all work so hard and with such kindness — you truly deserve a raise! A special thank you to: Amour, Claudine, Rabina, Everjoy, Norbert, Fauzi, Lucas, Claire, Ashly, Louis, Nibha, Swaroop, Praviin, and apologies to those I may have forgotten — you made my stay unforgettable.
