If you're considering renting here, do NOT sign with the real estate agency called Al Haram Al Zahabi (they also name themselves Foot Print Real Estate, but if they send you to Clover Bay Tower to sign, don't go!!! They're horrible) UPDATE TO ADD: CHECK YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT QUOTE. THEY WILL ROB YOU AND QUOTE YOU FOR RANDOM THINGS YOU DIDN'T CAUSE. I'll say the good thing is, the area is peaceful and empty and very dog friendly and the facilities aren't crowded. Despite the following complaints, I do like living in the area. The staff is all quite friendly, and the apartments are spacious. The terraces are nice. HOWEVER... The building is old and requires frequent and expensive maintenance, which Al Haram Al Zahabi/Foot Print lies about reimbursing you for. When I moved in, I told them the hot water in my apartment came out brown. Their maintenance team laughed and said, "Just don't use the hot water. It's a building issue we can't fix." Then it turned out to be the water heater! I discovered this when my bathroom ceiling started leaking and I had to buy a brand new one. They then said, "we usually don't reimburse" after having told me that they would reimburse payments over a certain amount. Within the building, there are literally always roaches no matter how much pest control they do, and the walls are suuuuper thin. Next to me, there's a horribly noisy family with 3 children, and against my will, I know all their names. Also, the irrigation in the area STINKS. Like, it actually smells like bloated corpses and feces in the park and walkways, every day twice a day. And those pipes spray on the walkway, so enjoy getting a little stink shower if you're trying to walk on the pavement! So tl;dr: Nice building overall, with a lovely dog community. Be prepared to battle roaches, buy earplugs, and DO NOT rent with Al Haram Al Zahabi/Foot Print. I'd leave a Google review, but conveniently, they don't have a Google page.

The AC and maintainence problem is a NIGHTMARE. We end up spending aed 2,000 and more every year when summer starts. The building management do not take care of the AC units installed behind the swimming pool area and if your apartment is on top floor then you are in hell. Not recommended to anyone!

I will not recommend this building to anyone,very thin walls, no sound proofing, you can hear all your neighbors and what they are talking about.music from all other apartments, very embarrassing. Overall very disappointing experience with DAMAC brand.

I lived in Astor Building in a studio for 3 months. It’s big on the inside with a huge balcony, but the problem was that the walls are very thin and not soundproof. You can hear everything from the neighbors next door and above you. My neighbors had a kid who was always shouting and screaming. It was a nightmare; you can’t have peace when you come back home. The people above me had a dog, and you could hear it digging in the ground. The building is a little old but well maintained. Some people used to sit outside the building at night, and when you wanted to enter the parking, they would start looking at you, but lately, I didn’t see them. The area is very quiet and nice. I didn’t sleep well the last three months, but finally, I moved.

Staying in here since last 17 months. Peaceful locality with easy access to the highway towards Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Spacious and clean apartments. Albarari is a great place to hang around and go for a walk. Limited options for dining out. Improvements could be made on maintainance issues. Since it is a free hold, lot depends on the individual owner. Overall a great value for money.
