About the project and area
Aldar Properties, a developer based in Abu Dhabi, has introduced 'The Cedars' as part of its Yas Acres golf and waterfront development. According to the firm, the project puts nature first and is part of the Yas Acres master plan. Upon completion, there will be 1,315 townhouses and villas on the northern part of Yas Island. Construction has already started, and the first 652 houses are expected to be ready by 2019.

The development will also have a Golf and Country Club, with an apartment district having food and beverage outlets and shops in the plans. The Cedars is in the vicinity of two international schools, and it features a cycling and jogging track, parks, retail and community centers with cafes, restaurants, and shops. Mosques are conveniently located along the avenues.
